Summer Work

Read Josephine Tey's mystery novel, The Daughter of Time. Write a 3-5 page, double spaced book review that addresses the following questions:

1. What is Tey's historical thesis?
2. What evidence does she use to support her thesis?
3. Do you "buy" her argument? Why or why not?
4. What does she argue about the nature and study of history? What does she claim about historical revisionism?
5. Can you think of any other examples of "Tonypandy"?

Extra credit: Do some extra research (using books and the Internet) on this topic. You can start here: The Richard III Society or The American Branch. Go here for a historical overview of the Wars of the Roses.
Try to "solve" the mystery of the Princes in the Tower.
